You can practise the 3 Rs in your daily lives – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (in order of sequence). The sequence is important, as source reduction is usually the best way to minimise waste while recycling still has some impact on the environment and should be done last. Waste minimisation helps to conserve resources and reduce energy usage in the production and transportation process.

The things that we consider as waste may not totally be true. What we need is the right attitude and information on how to maximize the use of our waste materials. The plastic bottles can be recycled or reused, and the same goes with paper. We can have our used papers shredded and they can serve a number of uses in our households and even in our gardens when we are making compost. Being practical does not only save you from spending, but it also shows that you are concerned with the planet’s cry for help regarding reducing waste.
